NASA’s Morpheus project encountered difficulties on Thursday. The experimental “green” lander fell to the ground in flames, followed by a small explosion. No one was injured, and Kennedy Space Center fire personnel extinguished the fire. Engineers have been testing a new fuel mix that is cheaper and stores longer.  The space center stated that such failures are anticipated and part of the developmental process.
